Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I bring with my pet?

Food is all we require. We will need to know how much you feed your pet and how often each day. Some find it easier to measure each serving in to zip lock bags. Make sure that there is enough food for your pets stay. If we run short we will supply the food at an extra cost.

  • What do I do if my dog is on medication?

If your dog is on any medication, please bring the medication and instructions on how and when to administer the medication at no additional cost.

  • What is Kennel Cough?

Also known as infectious canine tracheobronchitis or bordetellosis, kennel cough is a highly contagious respiratory disease that causes inflammation in the throat and lungs of dogs. Many dogs will be exposed to the bacterial infection at least once during their lifetime, but the dogs most at risk are puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with weakened immune systems.

Most dogs infected with kennel cough will begin to show the signs about 3 days after being exposed to a large number of other dogs.

Prevention, as usual, is the best medicine for kennel cough. All dogs should be vaccinated against canine adenovirus, and dogs at high risk of contracting kennel cough—those spending time around other dogs—should also be vaccinated against Bordetella bronchiseptica and canine parainfluenza virus.

  • Will my dog play with other dogs?

When it comes to time outside, we will always assess each dogs size and socialization level before we put dogs together to play.

  • Do you supply food?

We recommend that you bring your own dog food. If you do not bring dog food, we will provide it at your expense.

A variety of healthy nutritional treats will be included subject to your approval.

  • Do I need to provide Vaccinations?

All DOGS must be currently inoculated. Proof of vaccination is required. Learn more.
